Itinerary for the 3 Days Rwanda Chimpanzee trekking safari
Day 1 - Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Pick up is at 7:00 am and travel to Nyungwe Forest National Park. We shall have a visit to the former King's palace and museum of Nyanza, continue for lunch in huye or butare. Continue to Nyungwe forest for an afternoon canopy walk way deep down into the forest. Check out and head to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge / Gisakura Guest House / Nyungwe top view hotel.
Day 2 - Amazing Chimpanzee Tracking Experience
Be up by 6:30 am for breakfast, pick your packed lunch and transfer to the park offices for briefing. After briefing you start the trek to look for the chimps. The chimps will draw your attention with their trademark pant-hoots. The trek though strenuous is an exiting one with lots of wildlife sightings. The experience could last for more than two hours. After the chimp tracking you retire back to the lodge to relax, have dinner and overnight.
Days 3 - Transfer back to Kigali, Kigali City tour
Have breakfast, check out and travel to Kigali. Do a tour of the city with a visit to the genocide memorials sites, markets and shopping malls. After the tour, you are transferred to you preferred drop-off location.
