Rwanda is endowed with a great natural beauty and a diversity of wildlife. It is located at the epicenter of the Albertine Rift Eco-zone that is known for an exceptional level of species endemism. Scientists regard it as having the highest levels of biodiversity on the continent. Rwanda is especially remarkable for its primates and bird species among other wildlife. It is one of the three countries in Africa that still have the endangered Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. Other notable primates are Chimpanzees, endangered Golden monkeys, and Blue monkeys.
